 eTwinning ‘’Animals are all around us’’

Evaluation of the learners responses to the first and final questionnaire.

1. The number of responses:

To the first questionnaire we received 31 responses.

To the 2nd 24 responses.

2. Learning new ICT:

93,5% of students believed that they will learn new ICT tools.

As a result, in the 2nd survey students mentioned the following tools that they have learned:

CANVA, Zoom, Wordwall, Storyjumper, Kahoot, Pixton, Twinspace, PowerPoint and some other learning tools.

3. Creativity improvement:

To the 1st questionnaire, 87,1% of participants expected that this project will improve their creativity. As a result, 45,8% of respondents confessed that it did.

4. Cooperation:

In response to the 1st questionnaire, 77,4% participants hoped that they will have a chance to cooperate with other partners. Consequently, 83,3% of learners managed to collaborate with other etwinners.

5. Twinspace:

At the beginning of the project only 33% of learners knew how to use Twinspace. While at the end of the project, 100% of respondents used it.

İnitially, 90,3% of students found it enjoyable to work with other schools. Whilst, finally 91,7% of them responded that it was fun.

6. Knowledge about animals:

At start, 86,7% of learners thought that they will reinforce their knowledge about animals. At the end, 95,8% of the respondents revealed that they managed to reinforce it.

7. Helping animals:

86,7% of students believed that they will be able to help animals during the Project. It turned out, that 79,2% had an opportunity to help animals.

8. Best part of the Project:

Among the best parts of the project the students mentioned a trip to the Zoo, adopting panda, collecting the food for animals, meeting with partners, helping animals, Twinspace experience (namely the chats that we run monthly), and visiting animal shelters.

9. Learning new things:

Answering the question ‘’what new things did you learn’’, the students mentioned different things which can be divided into 3 main strands:

1) reinforcement of knowledge about animals and help to them

2) working with ICT

3) contribution to their English learning

10. Recommendations:

At the end, we received the following recommendations:

1. It should be enjoyable for everyone and fun

2. We want more projects

3. I think we should have trips like going to zoo and fun topics with technological things

4. The next project can be about art,artis and stuff

5. I wish we go to the different countries.

6. Could we go to zoo one more time

7. Go anywhere but just go like zoo or shelter like that

8. A different topic can be chosen

Although some students didn’t have any wishes, most of the students offered new themes to discuss, and more out of school activities to do.
